Friends

HIKE

We've all been for walks in our local parks - but why not stretch yourself a little by going a bit further in a new place. Get friends and family to join you, pack a picnic and make an epic adventure of it. Whatever your ability, you will find somewhere nearby that is interesting and challenging that suits your needs.

Couple Biking

BIKE

Cycling in the British countryside, away from the roads and the traffic, is an amazing way to explore, have fun and get some exercise. There are loads of places you can have a go - whether you're looking for wide and gentle paths or the thrill of graded trails. There will be somewhere nearby for you and your friends to hire a bike or get a guided ride if you need.

Paddling on a Lake

PADDLE

Paddle sports are a fantastic way of exploring our inland and coastal waters, from our calm lakes and canals, to our rivers and seas. Guaranteed there will be a quiet and gentle spot near you where you can get all the help you need to get on the water. Whether you chose canoeing, kayaking or paddleboarding - you are sure to love it.

Preparing to Climb

CLIMB

Whilst daunting to some, rock climbing is a fun and safe activity for all ages and abilities. It is a fantastic way to have fun, learn new skills, test your brain and your mettle, and improve your fitness and strength - so why not give it a go. Your local indoor climbing wall is your best bet and they'll give you and your friends all the help you need to get started.

Catching Up

WILD SWIM

Last but by no means least... there is wild swimming. Whilst you can count a trip to the seaside if you like - why not see what natural inland spots you can find near you to take a dip. You might like to know that swimming in the outdoors can have significant physical, physiological and mental health benefits - so try it and we bet you'll go back for more!
