Walk at Blackwood Forest, a large beech wood managed by Forestry England with numerous marked trails suitable for walkers and cyclists. The woods are carpeted in bluebells in the spring and well worth a visit. Home to one of Forestry England's Forest Holiday locations, there are excellent facilities in the centre of the wood, but if you are not staying in the Forest Cabins, parking is advised at the entry to the woods a short cycle away.
