Paddle on the Basingstoke Canal from Ash Vale. This tranquil and historic waterway cuts its way through Surrey and Hampshire between Odiham and West Byfleet where it meets the River Wey on its way to the Thames. With easy access from Ash Vale train station, you can either head South around Aldershot and through Fleet, or North through Frimley and Deepcut. A great, but long, circuit takes you up to canal's end, back down the River Wey to Guildford where you catch a short train ride back to Ash.
