Walk the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Range from Rhyd Ddu station car park on the western edge of the Snowdon Massif just down the valley from Beddgelert. This is a great place from which to summit Mount Snowdon for the more experienced hiker as the path has some dramatic ridgeline walking on the way. It is also significantly less crowded than routes from Llanberis and the Pen y Pass if you're keen for a less 'touristy' experience. It is about a 12km strenuous walk to the top with options to return back down the Snowdon Ranger path and return to the car park along the road. There are also plenty of other routes from here taking in the beautiful lakes and forests of the valley.
