Walk the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Range from Lake Cwellyn on the western edge of Snowdon from where you can reach the summit via the Snowdonia Ranger path, perhaps the earliest route up Snowdon. Whilst this side may not have the dramatic views of Snowdon that you get coming from the East, this is made up for with stunning, far-reaching views of the coast out over the Lyn Peninsular and Anglesey. This route is significantly less crowded than those from Llanberis and the Pen y Pass if you're keen for a less 'touristy' experience. You can also return via the Rhyd Du path for a more dramatic descent down some fairly hairy ridgeline paths to return to the car park along the road or by bus. The car park can still fill up quickly so consider the Sherpa'r bus service if you're going at peak time.
