Walk the Rivers and Canals from Tamworth. Tamworth is set in the heart of the Tame Valley, where the River Tame crosses the River Anker and the Coventry Canal branches from the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal. There are countless options for local circular walks and longer walks with options to return by train or bus. Head south along the river or canal into the Tame valley wetlands, East towards Alvecote Nature Reserve, or West towards Hopwas.
