Walk from Itchen Abbas, a pretty village on the River Itchen north of Winchester. From here follow the river along the Itchen Way down to Winchester, passing picturesque villages and interesting wildlife. Or head north over the downs to Micheldover Woods or Abbotstone Down. Start or finish with a pub lunch at The Plough.
