Walk the River Wey and the North Downs from the heart of Guildford, with plenty of parking options and excellent rail links.
From Guildford you can simply enjoy a short stroll down to Daphdune Wharf and the riverside reserve, or up to St Catherine's Lock. But Guildford is also a great starting point from some longer hikes, down the River to Send, Ripley and Byfleet; upriver to Godalming; or onto the Downs, West to Farnham and East to Dorking. Whichever way you go there are numerous options for returning to Guildford by train.
