Walk from Bethesda's Parc Meurig, a lovely woodland riverside park at the foot of the Ogwen Valley in the heart of Snowdonia. The park offers lovely easy circular trails and a play park for kids. The back of the park leads onto the easy-going Snowdonia Slate Trail that runs along the river into the spectacular Ogwen mountain valley, first to the visitor centre at Cwm Idwal with access into the Mountains. The trail continues through the valley bottom to Capel Curig, then into the Gwydir Forest and on to Betwsy Coed. However far you go, you can easily return by the Sherpa'r bus service.
