Walk the New Forest from Ashurst, the eastern gateway to the national park. Very easily accessible by train, and with camping and a popular pub on site, this is a great place from which to take your first steps into the Forest. From here you can simply explore the local woodland inclosures of Deerleep or Buskets, or venture further into the forest for some great circular walks. You're also only a short walk to the New Forest Wildlife Park.
