Walk the Gwydir Forest, a stunning mountain forest at the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park known for its lead and zinc mining history, remnants of which can still be seen around the forest. Llyn Sarnau in the heart of the forest is a great place for a picnic and offers fantastic views of the forest and surrounding mountains. From here you can explore the forest trails, including a waymarked trail taking in Hafna mines a stunning clifftop view point and forest lakes.
