Walk the Gwydir Forest, a stunning mountain forest at the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park known for its lead and zinc mining history, remnants of which can still be seen around the forest. A short walk from Llanwrst is the Forest's Saw Bench car park from where you have easy access to the forest and a particularly enjoyable walk that offers great views of the historic market town and surrounding Conwy Valley, circling back through the forest to explore some of the remnants of the forests mining history. You can also cross over the road to take in Grey Mare's Tail waterfall.
