The Isle of Wight coastal path is a scenic and varied 70-mile route around the island. From the National Trust Tennyson Down Car par, you have easy access along the headland to the Needles viewpoint from where you can head up the West Coast, steeped in history, past Victoria Fort and Country Park and its views of Hurst Castle, and on towards Yarmouth. Alternatively, you can head East to follow the Tennyson Trail inland or the coastal path. Whichever way you go, you can easily return to your start point by bus.
