The Isle of Wight coastal path is a scenic and varied 70-mile route around the island. From Gurnard head East, around to the remote Thorness Bay where you're forced inland through Newton Harbour Nature Reserve. Or you can head East for an easily walk along the esplanade into West Cowes. It is not recommended to head further East (unless you're doing the full island route) as you are mostly restricted to roads as far as Fishbourne.
