The Isle of Wight coastal path is a scenic and varied 70-mile route around the island. From Freshwater Bay clifftop car park, you can head West through Freshwater Bay up onto the iconic headland and along to the Needles viewpoint. If heading East, you can either take the Tennyson Trail up onto Mottistone Downs, through Brighstone Forest and on towards Newport, or you can follow the clifftop coastal path and its varied chines (natural cut-throughs in the cliff) which give access to a host of remote beaches to explore. Whichever way you go, you can easily return to your start point by bus.
