Walk from Llyn Geirionydd, a stunning lake set in the heart of Snowdonia's Gwydir Forest with mountain views. This remote spot has some basic facilities and is a great place for a walk. Most popular is a circuit of the lake, one side paved and the other a rough, sometimes scrambly riverside path. There is also a lovely longer walk that takes in the nearby Crafnant lake that has a tea rooms for a half-way pit stop. Note that access to Lake Geirionydd is along a narrow forest lane that can get busy and on hot days the parking can fill up quickly.
