Walk at Hengistbury Head, a stunning nature reserve that seperates Christchurch Harbour from the Solent. This very popular spot has excellent facilities and well marked and maintained trails to explore the reserve, through dunes, along the river and with great views across the Harbour from Warren Hill. From the cafe and visitor centre you can explore the reserve - a full circuit of the head is about 6kms. The more adventurous can extend the circuit to take in the whole Harbour, passing through Christchurch and crossing the ferry link along the way. It is also a great place to start a longer coastal path walk, West to Bournemouth and East towards Hurst Castle and Lymington.
