Walk from Llyn Padarn on the edge of Snowdonia by the bustling village of Llanberis. This lovely mountain lake has an easy going lake-side path running around it for a fairly gentle 8km walk. There are also some family-friendly waymarked routes to explore as well as more challenging options to climb up into the hills around Dinorwig Power Station. The East end of the lake by the National Slate Museum has plenty of parking, good facilities and is a lovely start point for the local walks.
