Walk at Micheldever Woods, a lovely mixed beech and conifer wood just north of Winchester. With well marked trails, a surprising variety of wildlife (including the stunning Muntjac deer) and dedicated picnic areas, this is a great place for a family walk. It is also a good start point for some cracking hikes across the downs to the River Itchen and village of Itchen Abbas. Make sure you don’t miss the spectacular display of Bluebells in the spring.
