Swim in Snowdon's lakes at the base of Mount Snowdon, with perhaps the most stunning mountain surroundings imaginable for a swim. The two upper lakes of Snowdon Massif have shingle beaches and are easily accessible directly via the Miners Path from Pen y Pass. They are also a great place to take a dip on the way down from the summit. Needless to say, the water can be very cold!
