Swim in the sea at Freshwater bay, a stunning little protected cove set back from the Needles headland. Despite its pebble beach, Freshwater Bay is a great place to swim and explore. It is also a good launch point if you are paddling to the Needles. If you're feeling adventurous you can coasteer from here too.
