A beautiful lakeside beach with good swimming within a marked area and nice walks nearby. Note that this can get very, very busy on hots days so avoid at obvious times. If you want to go on a hot day, go early to avoid the chaos. Better still, go in the winter, it's a great spot for a New Year's morning swim.
There is no entry cost, but note that swimming on the lake is restricted to the swimming area by the beach.
Dogs are permitted but not on the beach over the peak swimming season.
There is a 'hole-in-the-wall cafe by the car park. and a bar and restaurant by the sailing club.
Toilets available on site, including for those with special needs.
There are no official camping locations on site.
