Swim at Llyn Gwynant, one of Snowdonia's great lakes in the foothills of Mount Snowdon itself with stunning views of the mountains. The water is easily accessible from road side parking bays off the A498 on the South side of the lake. Whilst you are only a stones throw from the road itself, there are grassy banks and shallow water at edge. The lake is a well known wild swimming gem, but it is deep and cold so be weary. Strong swimmers can cross the lake and explore Elephant Rocks on the far side.
