Swim at Bala on Llyn Tegid, Wales’ largest natural lake. Best accessed from the popular south shore where there is plenty of parking, easy access to the water and great facilities. Note that the lake’s water can be very cold, and the edges deep in places. The Foreshore is the safest swimming spot, but swimming is not permitted from boats out on the lake. Children swimming or playing in the lake must be under close supervision at all times.
