Take a gentle paddle along the Basingstoke Canal as it meanders its way through Hampshire. Starting just next to the Barley Mow pub, with good parking and easy access to the water, either head West to canals end at Odiham Castle, or East towards Crookham Village.
You need a canal license to use the canal, either from the Basingstoke Canal Authority or British Canoeing membership.
No restrictions on dogs but clearly you take dogs with you at your own risk (and theirs).
There is a country pub next to the car park.
No designated toilets but the pub next to the car park will probably be accommodating if you ask nicely.
No camping options nearby.
For more information visit the Hants Council Basingstoke Website Canal page.
