Paddle the Afon Dwyryd estuary and the coastline from Porthmadog Harbour, a lovely little harbour on the mouth of this stunning estuary at the neck of the Llyn Peninsular. This is a great spot to put in with good facilities, plenty of parking and easy access to the water from the public slipway. The water is almost always accessible, but the tide clearly effects the estuary so must be factored into your planning. From the Harbour, head inland to explore the Afon Glaslyn or on to the Afon Dwyryd for amazing views of Portmeirion. Alternatively hug the estuary shoreline out to explore the coves and beaches of Black Rock Sands.
