Paddle the Afon Dwyryd from Maentwrog, a lovely small river that meanders its way to the double estuary of the Dwyryd and the Glasllyn. From a hidden layby on the coastbound A487 (blink and you'll miss it), you can easily access the water from low grassy banks. From here it is a gentle paddle through the countryside to where the estuary opens our by the stunning and famous Italian-styled village of Portmeirion.
