Paddle the Afon Conwy from Beacon's Jetty, a great spot from which to explore the stunning river Conwy and coastline. The jetty is easily accessible from the car park but puts you in at the narrowest point of the mouth of the estuary where the water can flow very fast, in either direction based on the tide. Only paddle here if you are confident working with the tidal flow and be sure to plan your paddle according to the tide. Heading into the estuary quickly takes you to the stunning Conwy Quay with fabulous views of the castle and walled town with options to pull in have a bite to eat. Continue beyond Conwy under the bridge past the RSPB Nature Reserve onto the lower Conwy valley for stunning view of the Mountains. Alternatively, head out into the sea, either hugging the beachline towards Conwy Mopha or crossing over and following the West Shore beaches to the cliffs of the great Orme.
