Cycle one of the best chalk trails in the country. The Tennyson Trail runs from Freshwater Bay to Carisbrooke Castle in Newport. The track runs along the Mottistone Downs with its stunning views, into the forest of Brighstone and down to Carisbrooke Castle. Cycle all or part of the route and buses run from Newport to Freshwater for the return. You can hire bikes locally.
