Off-road cycling
Cycle the Basingstoke Canal from Brookwood. This tranquil and historic waterway cuts its way through Surrey and Hampshire between Odiham and West Byfleet where it meets the River Wey on its way to the Thames. With easy access from Brookwood train station, you can either head South past Frimley, Mytchett and Aldershot, or North up to Woking. The great thing about the canal is is handrails the train line so you can easily return by train. You can even make a circuit by following the River Wey to Guildford where you catch a short train ride back to the canal at Ash Vale.
